It's Whatever Wednesday, which means I can post about WHATEVER! So today, I'm going to show you the magic tricks I've been practicing. They are all safe for you to try at home and I learned them from this PCHES library book!
My first two tricks involve balancing objects.
Can you balance a cup on the edge of a plate?
How about a grape on the tip of your finger?
Are you impressed? No? Well, go ahead and try it! Not so easy, right?
Now for my third and final trick, in a matter of seconds, I will turn a cup of plain water into a iced water! Ready?
Here's my cup of plain water.
Wait. Don't peek behind my book...
Shazam! ICED WATER!!
Under normal circumstances, if you wanted to know the secrets behind these astounding tricks, I'd tell you to read the book. But since you won't be able to do that for a while, I will reveal to you my secrets.
Tricks #1 & #2: I balanced the cup on my thumb and had a toothpick hiding behind my finger to hold the grape.
Trick #3: I had a piece of plastic wrap crumpled in my hand. When you couldn't see, I dropped it into the cup of water and stirred it. Voila! Iced water!
For more tricks, when we get back, come borrow the book, Incredible Tricks at the Dinner Table!
